PocketSuite’s Run Cards feature lets you generate printable PDF summaries of your reservations, bookings, and client information, so your team has everything they need on the floor, no app access required. Run Cards are especially useful for pet boarding and daycare businesses that need physical kennel cards for staff handoffs and day-of operations, but we encourage any PocketSuite business using reservations to take advantage of them.

How to enable Run Cards
To get started, go to Settings > Features > Run cards and toggle on.
Once enabled, a Print run card button will appear on all reservation, service, lesson, and class records. You’ll also see Bulk printing listed under Settings.
What’s included on a Run Card
Each Run Card is a two-page PDF that gives staff a complete picture at a glance. Page 1 includes the profile picture, client and pet name, booking dates and times, assigned staff, resources, and all fields you’ve enabled for Run Cards. Page 2 includes the full task grid with empty boxes for staff to check off or annotate, followed by any notes you’ve enabled for printing.
For long-stay reservations, the task grid continues across additional pages, with one page per 7-day block calculated from the check-in date. Key information (profile, name, dates, staff) always appears on Page 1 regardless of how many pages the card spans.
How to print a Run Card from a booking record
Open any reservation, service, lesson, or class record and tap Print run card.
Once you select print, a PDF is generated, and a preview opens. From there, the system print dialog will open so you can select your printer and print.
Run Cards can be printed for any booking, regardless of status — active, completed, or canceled. The card always reflects the booking's current state at the time of printing.
How to bulk print Run Cards
Bulk printing lets you generate Run Cards for multiple bookings at once from a single place, without adjusting your dashboard filters. To access it, go to Settings > Bulk printing.
To create a bulk print job:
- Tap Create a bulk print job.
- Select a Date using the date picker. Defaults to today.
- Select a Booking type: Reservations, Bookings, or Class Rosters.
- If you selected Reservations, choose a Status: Checking In, Active, or Checking Out.
- Optionally, apply a Filter to narrow by Team member, Item/Service, Resource, or Resource location.
- Review the count that appears (e.g., “32 Run cards match your selection”).
- Tap Print (mobile) or Print [X] run cards (desktop).
For single Run Cards, a PDF is generated immediately, and the print dialog opens.
For bulk printing of Run Cards, the job runs in the background. When it’s done, you’ll receive an in-app message in your PocketSuite conversation thread with an Open & Print button. You can also opt in to receive an email notification with a download link by enabling email notifications in your settings.
Note: There is a maximum of 200 Run Cards per print job. If your selection exceeds 200, narrow your filters and try again.
Your print history
Every bulk print job is saved in Settings > Bulk printing for 30 days. Each entry shows the date, booking type, status filter, any secondary filter applied, the number of cards, when the job was created, and its current status.
Job statuses you may see:
- Pending — Job is queued.
- Processing — Your PDF is being generated.
- Completed — PDF is ready. Click Print to open and print it.
- Failed or Canceled — Click Try again to resubmit.
Note: Re-downloading a completed job downloads the original PDF. It does not regenerate with the current booking data. Jobs are permanently removed after 30 days.
How to customize which fields appear on Run Cards
You can choose exactly which client and booking fields show up on your printed Run Cards. To do this, go to your client fields or booking fields settings, open any field, and look for the Show on Run Card toggle. Turn it on to include that field on all printed Run Cards.
Fields you enable will appear below the built-in fields, in the order you’ve configured them. Client name and subaccount name are always included and cannot be removed.
Note: The “Show on Run Card” toggle is not available for product/order field types.
How to control which notes appear on Run Cards
Each note on a booking, client, or subaccount has its own Show on run card toggle.
- Booking notes default to on — they’ll appear on Run Cards unless you turn them off.
- Client and subaccount notes default to off — you’ll need to enable each one individually.
To change a note’s visibility, open the note and toggle Show on run card on or off. The note itself is not affected — toggling this does not delete or modify the note content.
How to print a Class Roster
Class Roster printing is available on all plans.
From a class record, go to the Roster and tap the print icon. You’ll be given two options:
- Print Class Roster — Generates an attendance list with one line per participant, including client name, subaccount name, resource, and phone number. The header includes the class name, time, date, assigned team member, and your business logo.
- Print Run Cards — Prints individual Run Cards for each participant in the class.
To bulk print Class Rosters, go to Settings > Bulk printing, create a bulk print job, and select Class Rosters as the booking type. Choose a date and any optional filters, then tap Print.
Team permissions
Access to Run Cards follows your existing client permission settings.
- Admins and staff with Show all clients enabled can print Run Cards for all clients.
- Staff with Show all clients disabled can only print Run Cards for clients and bookings they’re assigned to.
- Limited team members cannot access or print Run Cards.
Permission changes take effect immediately.

Frequently asked questions
Why don’t I see the Print run card button on my bookings?
Run Cards must be enabled first. Go to Settings > Features > Run cards and toggle on. If it’s already on, check your plan. Run Cards require a Team or Enterprise plan. Limited team members also cannot print Run Cards regardless of the plan.
Can I print a Run Card for a canceled booking?
Yes. Run Cards can be printed for any booking, regardless of status. The card reflects the current state of the booking data at the time it was printed.
Why are some tasks missing from a Run Card?
All tasks tied to the reservation are included, both manual tasks and smart/auto-generated tasks. If you expect a task and don’t see it, check that it’s been created and linked to the reservation. Future smart tasks may not exist in the system yet if you’re printing well in advance.
My Run Card is printed on multiple pages. Is something wrong?
No, this is expected. Long field lists, many tasks, or long-stay reservations with weekly task grids will naturally produce multi-page Run Cards. Key information (profile, name, booking dates, staff) always appears on the first page.
What’s the difference between Run Cards and Booking Cards?
Same feature, different name. Pet industry businesses (dog boarding, walking, training, grooming, and sitting) see “Run Cards.” All other industries see “Booking Cards.”
Can I print more than 1 Run Card at once?
Yes, up to 200. For bulk print jobs, the PDF generates in the background, and you’ll receive an in-app message when it’s ready. You can also enable email notifications to receive an email when your print job is ready.
