Transfer by the Original Purchaser
The original purchaser of the gift certificate has two options to transfer it to another person:
Via the PocketSuite Client App:
- In the PocketSuite Client App, tap on My Account, go to the Gift Certificate Dashboard, and select the gift certificate to "Gift" it to someone else.
Via SMS or Email:
- If the gift certificate was sent via SMS or Email, the purchaser can click the link used to purchase it and choose the "Gift" option to transfer it.
If you need to transfer a gift certificate to a different client without contacting the original purchaser, follow these steps:
Step 1: Sell a New Gift Certificate to the Giftee
- Navigate to: Home > Gift Certificates > ‘+’.
- Select the Client: Choose the client who will receive the gift certificate (the giftee).
- Set the Price: Enter the total value of the gift certificate as the price.
- Apply a Discount: Set the discount as a fixed amount equal to the price you just entered. This effectively makes the gift certificate free for the giftee.
- Activate the Gift Certificate: Click Next, then select Mark Paid to finalize and activate the gift certificate for the new recipient.
Step 2: Cancel the Original Gift Certificate
- Navigate to: Home > Gift Certificates.
- Select the Gift Certificate: Find the original gift certificate that you want to cancel.
- Edit the Certificate: Select Edit, then change the price to $0 to cancel the gift certificate.
- Additional Options for Gift Certificate Management
- Sell a Specific Gift Certificate: If you want to sell a specific gift certificate, you can do this from the Dashboard > Gift Certificates.
