Desktop Login Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble logging in to the desktop site (desktop.pocketsuite.io), this is most likely due to your browser being out of date or using an unsupported Private Browsing Window. 

 

Browser Out of Date

Most likely, the issue preventing you from logging in is due to your browser being out of date. Keeping your browser and operating system up to date is important to prevent bugs from occurring and to keep your data secure. See the instructions below of how to update your browser: 

 

Google Chrome

To update Google Chrome, you should see a button to update your browser in the upper right hand corner of your browser window. Note that updating your browser will restart the browser, but any tabs you have open at the time you update will be reopened. 

You can also check for an update manually by clicking Chrome on the top navigation bar > Settings > About Chrome. Chrome will automatically run a check if an update is needed and show you if your browser is up to date. 

 

Safari

Since Safari is integrated with the general operating system (OS) of your device, to update Safari you will need to update your device's software. In addition to helping you log in to PocketSuite, keeping your OS up to date is important for protecting your device. 

To update your OS, go to system Settings > General > Software Update. It may take a minute to load, but if an update is available you will see the details of the update and a button which says Update. 

 

If for whatever reason you do not want to update your OS, you can download another browser (we recommend Google Chrome), but again we highly recommend keeping your OS up to date for security purposes. 

 

Firefox

To update Firefox, click on Firefox on the top ribbon bar > Click Preferences or Settings (depending on your device) > Scroll down on the general settings page to "Firefox updates" > If an update is available, it will be shown here with a button to update. 

 

Microsoft Edge

 To update Microsoft Edge, click on Edge on the top ribbon bar > Click Settings > Click About Microsoft Edge on the left hand menu > Edge will automatically check for an update and prompt you to update if one is available. Simply click update and follow any additional prompts to update your browser. 

 

Unsupported Private Browsing Window

PocketSuite is not available in Private Windows on Safari or Firefox. If you are attempting to log in to PocketSuite in a Private Window on either of these browsers, please switch to a standard browsing window (File > New Window) or switch to a Google Chrome Incognito Window.
