PocketSuite makes it easy to manage varying check-in/check-out times for reservations.

Set the Check-in/Check-out time as Flexible
When creating or editing a reservation, tap Check-in.
Tap Check-in type.
Select Flexible.
Important: If you make the Check-in type Flexible, the check-in and check-out times can be set differently from booking to booking. In this way, the reservation’s check-in and check-out time selection is similar to booking a service. Setting the check-in and check-out type to Flexible offers the greatest amount of customization for your reservation as you and your clients can select the times that work best.
Next, set the Check-in Duration.
Note: By default, the check-in and check-out times have no duration, but the time selected does affect your availability, so someone can only book a check-in or check-out when you or an eligible team member are available. You can only add a Check-in Duration when the Check-in or Check-out type is Flexible. Adding a Check-in Duration is optional. This works similarly to services but is tied directly to the reservation, ensuring you have time for pickup and drop-off appointments at the start and end of your reservations without getting double booked for other services. These appointments can also be assigned to team members other than the overall reservation if desired.
Then you can set a Check-in Availability. This allows you to restrict check-in appointments to certain times of the day or days of the week.
Tap Done to return to setting up your reservation.
Now, you can repeat the same steps for your Check-out time. Note: Check-outs can only be restricted to a specific time of day, but your availability and business hours will still help determine what days are available.
Remember, you can also choose different check-in and check-out types for a reservation. For example, you can let clients check in with a scheduled appointment but let them check out at any time.
I want to schedule flexible check-in/check-out times myself, but I don’t want clients to have flexible check-in/check-out options when they book me online. Is that possible?
Yes. When the Check-in/Check-out type is Flexible, you also have the option to set a Default check-in/check-out time that only applies to clients. This means you can select any time slot for check-in/check-out during scheduling, but clients are restricted to a single time slot during online booking. Please note that when the check-in/check-out type is Flexible, your availability and that of your team members are considered when booking or scheduling a check-in/check-out.
Set the Check-in/Check-out type as Anytime
When creating or editing a reservation, tap Check-in.
Tap Check-in type.
Select Any time.
Important: If you set the check-in or check-out type as Any time, clients can check in anytime during your Check-in Availability. By default, your Check-In Availability is the same as your business hours.
Next, change your Check-in Availability if you want clients to book the reservation only on certain days. Here, you choose multiple days of the week for clients to start their reservations. You can also choose the time frame each day during which clients can check-in. Clients will see this time frame on the reservation confirmation so they know when they can check-in. Tap Done.
Tap Done to return to setting up your reservation.
Now, you can repeat the same steps for your Check-out time.
Note: When the Check-out type is Any time, you can set your Check-out availability to be a specific time frame (for example, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.) that applies to every day of your business’s overall availability, but you can not limit check-out to specific days.
Set the Check-in/Check-out type as Default
When creating or editing a reservation, tap Check-in.
Tap Check-in type.
Select Default. If you make the check-in type Default, all clients booked for the reservation will check in at the same time of day.
Next, choose your Default check-in time.
Important: When booking online, clients will only see a single check-in time. You and the client are both restricted to the time slot you choose. If you schedule a client for this reservation, you will only be able to choose the Default check-in time.
Now you can choose your Check-in availability. With a Default Check-in type, you can only select days for your availability, not the time frame on those days, because you’ve already selected a default check-in time.
Tap Done to return to setting up your reservation.
Now, you can repeat the same steps for your Check-out time.
Does the Default Check-in/Check-out time block off my calendar? Can I still book clients for another service during that reservation’s check-in time?
When the Check-in/check-out type is set to Default, the default time only serves as a placeholder on your calendar. Neither your availability nor that of your team members is considered when booking or scheduling a check-in/check-out at this time. This means you can be booked for a service or class at the same time as check-in/check-out.
